For the Chicken Wings:
- 2–3 lbs fresh chicken wings
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp baking powder (the secret to extra crispiness!)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Sauces:
- Nashville Hot: Frank’s RedHot Nashville Hot Sauce
- Hot Honey BBQ: Smash Kitchen Organic Hot Honey BBQ Sauce
Instructions
1. Prepare the Wings
- If using whole wings, separate them into drums and flats by cutting through the joints.
- Remove any remaining feathers and pat the wings dry for the best results.
2. Season the Wings
- Place the wings in a large bowl and coat with avocado oil.
- Add the kosher salt, cayenne pepper, baking powder, cumin, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Toss everything together until the wings are evenly coated in the seasoning and baking powder.
3. Air Fry
- Place the air fryer divider or rack into the basket.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer, skin-side down, to ensure even cooking.
- Set the air fryer to Air Fry mode at 400°F for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the wings over and cook for another 10 minutes.
- For maximum crunch, use the Max Crisp setting for a final 3–5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
4. Sauce and Serve
- Divide the crispy wings into two bowls.
- Toss one half with the Nashville Hot sauce.
- Toss the other half with the Hot Honey BBQ sauce.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy!
